How do I manage PCI Compliance?
→ Open the APP on your phone
→ Go to ‘account’ – bottom right
→ Go to ‘PCI Compliance’
→ Go to ‘Become Compliant Now’
→ Tick the 2 boxes, then go to ‘finish’
It’s as simple as that!
You’re now compliant and penalty-free for another 12 months!
How do I use and understand the APP?
‘Transactions’ shows your card takings. This lists transactions in chronological order with the latest showing first, and can be filtered to display by date, time, card type, payment method, each terminal etc. Clicking on a transaction reveals more details about payments. All data can be downloaded and printed.
‘Transfers’ shows the monies deposited to your bank, clicking on entries reveals greater detail.
‘Account’ displays the information that’s held regarding your account, and it’s from here that PCI compliance is managed. Also, there are several FAQ’s and helpful articles inside the ‘Help’ tab to gain understanding around the product.

What is point-to-point encryption (P2PE)?
This is a standard established by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. Cardholder information is encrypted (scrambled into an unreadable code) immediately after the card is used with the card machine, and isn’t decrypted until the transaction process is completed. The merchant never comes into contact with the customer information. In the unlikely event of a data breach, the provider, not the merchant, is held accountable. Therefore the business doesn’t have to worry about penalties or suspensions associated with PCI non-compliance.
How long does it take to open an account?
An account application takes about 15-20 minutes, we input your information and submit for approval.
Approval normally takes less than 10 minutes, terminals are dispatched immediately and delivered next day. So an account that’s approved by 4pm could receive the terminals the following morning!
They’re set up in about 5 minutes and you’re ready to take payments.
How do I process CNP (Card Not Present) transactions?
From the ‘Tap here’ screen, after entering the amount and confirming, press the 3 dots at the top left, tap the ‘manually keyed transaction’ dropdown, and follow the instructions on screen.
How do I run end of day (Z report) from the terminal?
Tap the 3 lines from the sale screen (top left), tap ‘summary’, enter the supervisor code. You can see sales totals, refunded amounts, and total tips, and then print this summary.
How do I process a sale?
From the ‘sale’ screen, enter the value and click ‘confirm’, customer can then choose a tips value to add, tap the payment card at the head of the terminal, choose from print receipt options, and press ‘done’. Payment is then processed and terminal reverts to ‘sale’ screen, ready for the next transaction.
How do I refund a sale?
Using the 3 lines at the top left of the screen, choose ‘Refund’, enter the amount required, enter your supervisor code, and follow the same procedure as for sales.
How do I install my terminal?
Remove the battery cover, take the battery out and peel off the sticky tab covering the contacts.
Power on using the smaller button on the right side of the terminal (hold for 3 seconds)
Follow the instructions on the screen, connect to wifi etc and allow time for updates.
Input activation code.
Hold power button for 2 seconds to bring up the ‘Airplane mode’ etc screen, then press ‘Reboot’, and press again, wait 30 seconds for the terminal to update software and return.
Open the till receipt door, remove the till roll, remove the tape, leave a short piece hanging out, and close the door.
Make a £0.01 sale, confirm and pay, and print the customer receipt to ensure everything works smoothly.
Connect the charging lead to the base, plug into mains, and check that the terminal charges when placed on the base.
How do I Install the APP to manage my account?
Download the APP to your phone.
Open it, click forgotten password.
Enter the email address associated with your account, check your emails and follow the instructions.
Back in the APP, set the password you want to use, follow the instructions.
Now you are tracking the live takings of your business!
How long after my account application is approved will it take for me to receive my terminal/s?
We dispatch your terminals on a fully tracked next day service, if your account application is approved by 4pm, the terminal/s would normally be with you the following morning.
Why do LCC require my highest value card processing statement?
We work from your current providers recent high value statements because we need to evaluate your card turnover, alongside approximately 10 different fees and charges. This enables us to understand your business, and to tailor our proposal to your requirements and interests, and to offer the best pricing structure available.
What does it cost me to open an account with LCC?

How do I turn tips on & off?
The ‘gratuities’ (tips) feature on our terminal is great, particularly for restaurants, pubs etc. but it can be turned off if required, either temporarily or long term.
Click the 3 lines on the top left of the screen, open ‘settings’, press gratuities, move the slider to ‘off’ or ‘on’ and return to the sale screen. This adds or removes the tips screen during transactions.
What are the advantages of EPoS/card machine integration?
Integration (your till is talking to your card machine) is a great feature for businesses that sell fixed-rate products and service. Provided your till software is up to date, your EPoS provider will enable wireless connection to the payment terminal, meaning the total amount due appears on the terminal automatically when it’s time for a customer to settle their bill. Eliminate human error and miskeys, which will save hours and hours of reconciliation and ultimately avoid writing off revenue. Integration also reduces handling of the terminals.

Why does my business need card payment processing machines?

In principle, every merchant taking payment by card stands to benefit from our services. However, the higher the card turnover, the more advantages and potential savings there are to be made. If your business turns over less than £3000 per month by card, there are simpler, more cost effective providers to help with your processing. Between £3000 and £12,500 turnover per month, especially if there is expected growth, the advantages of partnering with LCC can start to be seen. What are your rates, fees, and charges?
